JOIN THE BAWS LEADERSHIP TEAM
Dear friends,
BAWS is excited to announce that in order to continue providing support and resources to our sex worker community, we are seeking to fill several new organizational “Top” roles to work alongside our Co-Directors, Maxine Holloway and Minxy Lopez, and our existing Tops members. In order to make our community work sustainable, we are investing in BAWS community members by offering a financial stipend for select positions.
We are currently looking to fill the following roles:
Finance Top
Communications Top
TOPS members complete their individual roles as well as participate in the collaborative process with fellow members of the leadership team.
In order to fulfill our ongoing commitment to making BAWS’ Tops team reflect the diversity of our communities, any applicant who is BIPOC, disabled, transgender, and/or has a dependent/s is encouraged to apply and will receive a stipend of $300 monthly for your labor.

BAWS Tops Team
BAWS is an anti-racist, anti-transphobic, anti-whorephobic organization, pledging to keep learning and doing better. We are in solidarity with local BLM movements, Defund the Police, drug-users, and poor folks because sex worker justice is racial justice, harm-reduction, anti-poverty, and abolitionism. We are looking for Tops members who share and work towards these same values. BIPOC, Trans, GNC, disabled folks, and people with dependants are strongly encouraged to join our team.
FINANCE TOP
Manage the financial health of BAWS
2-4 hrs per week + two 1HR meetings per month
6-month minimum commitment
$300/month stipend for those that qualify (BIPOC, disabled, transgender, and/or has a dependent/s)
Responsibilities:
Recording and tracking BAWS’s finances and balance on multiple channels
Update BAWS Grant requests & payouts
Reports Bi-Weekly balance statement
Manage all disbursement and reimbursement payments from our fiscal sponsor in a timely manner
Essential Qualities:
Comfortable with accounting, budgets, & spreadsheets
Reliable & timely with funding disbursements
Regular access to the internet & email
COMMUNICATIONS TOP
Help BAWS communicate our activities to our communities through social media and other online channels

Create engaging, on-brand social media content to promote BAWS’ resources and events to our communities
Essential Qualities:
Writing skills
Experience in online s*x worker spaces
Familiarity with local and national s*x worker organizations
Comfort and ease with Twitter & IG
Experience with Squarespace a plus
Must have internet access
