SWAC Community Covenants

  1.  Community

  • This group is for verified sex workers (SWs), ages 18+. We come together to expand our creative practice, provide mutual support and accountability, and heal in community.

  • While this is a space to talk about all topics related to our art making in community, we ask you to please refrain from sharing specific details regarding trauma, abuse, self-harm, and other specifics that may be activating for others.

    2. Accessibility

  • “We meet each others’ needs as we build toward liberation, knowing that state solutions inevitably extend into further control over lives.” - Sins Invalid

  • Auto-Captions will be utilized for Zoom Meetings.

  • In-person meeting spaces are chosen with consideration to ADA-compliant pathways, bathroom access, transit connectivity, and other factors. Outdoor gathering spaces with room for distancing are prioritized.  Masking is required at all in-person events.

    3. Confidentiality

  • We protect the privacy and identities of our members.

  • Please practice discretion with where you access Art Club. If joining from public or other mixed settings where people are present with you, please utilize headphones and virtual backgrounds in order to respect the security of all members.

  • Do not screenshot or record the meeting without consent.

  • We do not allow minors in any way, shape, or form to participate in the group, even in the background. We of course welcome caregivers and folks who live with children - if they are present when you join us, please utilize headphones, and virtual backgrounds/turn off your video to keep both them and our group safe.

  • We have a Zero Tolerance policy for “outing” workers or sharing the legal names of workers.

  • Do not post or say anything to incriminate yourself or others in the eyes of the law.

Zoom Etiquette:

  1. Mute yourself if you are not actively participating and to reduce background noise.

  2. Listen as much as (or more than) you speak.

  3. Turning on Video is optional.

  4. If you are joining us from a non-private space where others are present, use headphones and a virtual background.
